We are most pleased to announce the Institut d’égyptologie de Strasbourg International PhD Programme Call 2018. We are seeking for highly motivated candidates of academic excellence to undertake a PhD research thesis on the following issue: « Nécropolis. Étude diachronique et comparative de l’urbanisme funéraire dans les nécropoles de Thèbes et de Memphis ».

To be eligible, the candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

- To hold a MASTER diploma from a foreign university or to have enrolled in a MASTER program at

the University of Strasbourg in order to register in doctoral studies, after completion of a complete

bachelor’s degree course in a university abroad ;

- research process undergoing in the Research Unit UMR 7044 Archimède.

The application file must contain :

•    a cover letter for the candidate, but also for the Unistra’s “International Doctoral Program” (http://cde.unistra.fr/index.php?id=6112)
•    a detailed CV with a list of publications (if any)
•    the completed application form
•    title or diploma certifications (with translations)
•    contact details of the last institution attended (address, phone number, e-mail address)
•    a copy of your publications and master’s dissertation, as well as a summary of the dissertation
•    a birth certificate
•    one or more letters of recommendation from a scientific guarantor (teacher, personal tutor, researcher…)
•    a letter from the PhD supervisor detailing the different steps of the selection procedure (number of applications, number of interviews etc.)
